Join Austin Community College for a day and evening of international food, music, dance and more. Festivities include daytime workshops and an evening extravaganza where we will present traditional dances from Puerto Rico. Free and open to the public. Celebrando 2000 - May 6 at 7:30pm

Our joyful celebration of traditional dance and culture offers an informal presentation of the new material learned by our students, apprentices, and professional-level dancers this semester. Historical notes highlight the richness of Puerto Rican culture, a heritage based on Taino Indian, Spanish and West African roots.

This spring's Celebrando debuts "Bailes de Salon," our new suite of dances featuring "Danza," a project funded in part by the City of Austin under the Auspices of the Austin Arts Commission. Concordia University's Schroeder Performance Hall at the Louise T. Peter Center, 3400 IH35. Entrace to theatre on Luther Lane behind University. Take IH35 to 38-1/2 St. 38-1/2 to Red River.
