Sembrando Herencia 2001

A New Annual Recital
Concordia University - Louise T. Peter Center
December 1, 2001, 7:30pm

Join us for a joyful evening of traditional dance, music and song as we pass on a heritage to a new generation! Sembrando Herencia 2001 is our new annual recital showcasing our children and teen performing arts students and featuring the Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance performing company.

This evening will be historic as more than 40 of our own students, dancers, and musicians take the stage in this lively celebration of Puerto Rican culture. Come enjoy the debut of our new estampa "Pasadia de Reyes", a festive scene from 18th century Jibaro life, and sing along to a new Potpourri of traditional Plenas. Enjoy special performances of the Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance company in "Plena Baseball", "Bomba" to live drums, and other bailes tipicos from our Spanish, Taino and West African roots.

Admission - $5, children 2 and under FREE. Open seating and free campus parking. Tickets on sale at the door. Doors open at 6:45. Here is the Offical Poster!!
