Announcing auditions for roles in an original play featuring a multi-ethnic cast -- adults, all ages, including lively seniors!
CANGREJOS Y CAFE is our 20th original, bilingual play based in Puerto Rican oral and documented history.
She came from a long-time, coffee growing family in Las Montanas. He was an obrero from San Mateo de Cangrejos. Their friendship spanned lifetimes. In his ancestral past, she saved his life. He has returned to this lifetime to repay the debt.
Set in the 1950s, our annual mainstage production will combine original live music, dance, community theater, and cocobale -- STICKS & MACHETE FIGHTING -- to bring history to life and honor unsung heroes!

- Professional Stage Combat training - sticks and machetes - by fighting master
Toby Minor (TX State University).
- Authentic training in Boricua folkloric dance and song.
Community Theatre rehearsals will meet Wednesdays, 6-9:30pm, starting September 14, 2022. Two weeks before production, additional rehearsals will fold actors, dancers, musicians, and fighters together into one exciting musical! Fight Training will include professional workshops on stage combat on selected Saturdays. Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required.
