PRFDance Performing Company - Dancers, Musicians, Actors, Youth!
Do you enjoy dancing, singing, and/or playing music? We are auditioning people with raw
talent and commitment to be trained for our folkloric performing company!
Our multi-generational company of dancers and musicians perform throughout the year.
Musicos, a wide variety of instruments and singing-styles find a home with us
including: guitars, cuatro, accordion, large and small percussion, keyboard, and more!
We enjoy teaching new people with passion and commitment.
Auditions by Appointment only will be held on (email us for your appointment):
* Dancers - August 12, 19 & 26 at 6pm
* Musicians - August 15, 22, 29 at 6pm

PRFDance Performing Company (Adults)
DANCERS:
Are you passionate about dancing? Does acting come easy for you?
We invite you to contact us if you have raw talent and wish to be trained for the company. If you like to dance (and sing? and act?)
you will enjoy our live music and dance performances that share wonderful
stories about our cultural heritage. We welcome dancers who have:
- natural and trainable latin dance talent and stage presence
- enthusiasm and commitment to attend regular classes and rehearsals
- good memory, quick study for complex material
- ability to recreate the character of our distinct dance styles
- natural and trainable acting talent a plus
- conscientious attention to performance details (schedule, costumes)
- sincere team spirit.
MUSICIANS:
Do you enjoy music that represents the soul of a people? Puerto Rican music is
diverse! A wide variety of instruments and singing-styles find a home with
us including: acoustic guitars, cuatro and accordion,
large and small percussion, strings, horns, winds, and more!
If you play multiple instruments you will have added fun!
We welcome musicians who:
- are advanced through professional-level
- have a talent for playing music by ear
- challenge themselves as musicians and enjoy developing new skills
- have important qualities listed above (commitment, team spirit)
Junior Apprentice Program - Dance & Music
Our Apprentice Program is the training ground for our adult
performing company of dancers and musicians.
YOUTH DANCERS:
We invite you to contact us if your youth dancer has
advanced raw talented and is interested in being trained
for our Junior Apprentice Program.
Our fast-paced dance program is targeted for advanced
youth who are ready to mature their dance-skills towards a level expected of our
adult dancers. Natural acting ability is a plus. There are opportunities
for exciting performance experiences beyond an annual recital.
MUSIC:
Does your teen sing or play an instrument at an advanced level?
We offer a unique opportunity to learn traditional Puerto Rican
compositions and perform with our company musicians. As segments
of Puerto Rico's traditional music are not in written form, this
program will develop his/her talent for playing music by ear.
