The Settlement Home is a non-profit residential treatment and therapeutic
foster care program for girls emotionally suffering from abuse, neglect and
abandonment. Our workshop is part of their summer program that provides
new and enriching experiences as part of their treatment and healing process.
Other summer activities at the center typically include Creative Writing,
Poetry Fest, Puppetry, Reading and World Cultures. The girls are very
sweet and deserving of what little we can give them, and the teachers are
doing an outstanding job. They are currently undergoing major expansions
to their campus, classroom and office space. If you would like to help
